This is my first post on this blog, so I will cover what I'm currently doing and what my next steps might be. However, a little about me as a brewer. I first started brewing wine kits then moved on to just using the juice instead of the kits. These were a lot of fun, but over time became a bit lengthy. This came into direct conflict with a condition that I have, ABDD ( Attention Brewing Deficit Disorder). After talking to a few of my friends, I became aware that brewing beer was a good deal faster. So now I brew both wine and beer. I don't have a wine batch going at the moment but this will change soon.
The current batch I have going is some Barley Wine. I'm just using the kit that was purchased at the local brewing store. I have been very pleased with the results of this kit, and I just racked it today. Here is the mandatory picture.
The next brew I'm thinking about is some kind of Barley Wine with some jalapenos cooked in to the wort. Since I really like the Barley Wine brew, I figure it might be a good idea to add some spice to the mix for those cold winter nights. But I have never done anything with jalapenos cooked in before, so I'm going to spend some time to be sure I do it right. I'll keep you posted on the out come.

The Winter Barley Wine looks great! By the way, where do you get your carboy carrier straps? I get mine from ebay, but they're pretty flimsy compared to the ones in your pic.
